Grand River Transit: Solar-Powered Innovation for Electric Buses
We installed over 1,600 rooftop solar panels at Grand River Transit’s Northfield Maintenance Facility in Waterloo. The system powers 11 electric buses with clean energy, charging them in just four hours. The system offsets 30% of the facility’s electricity use and meets full demand during peak solar hours.
Pizza Pizza Decarbonization Pathways to Net-Zero
Blackstone is helping Pizza Pizza Limited (PPL) achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050. Based on energy profiles, GHG targets, and market forecasts, we recommended prioritized projects, including energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy solutions like solar PV and heat pumps.
The Shoebox Project: Empowering Women
Our DEI+B committee participated in the Shoebox Project for Women, assembling 54 shoeboxes worth $2,700 with holiday donations of luxury, recreational, consumable, and hygiene items to support women at risk of homelessness.
